If you're looking for a convenient way to go sightseeing in Israel, why not consider renting an Israeli motorhome to see the country?
Renting a motorhome might work for you. It is -
In fact, we've become motorhome aficionados.
My husband Yoram and I bought a motorhome a while ago. We travel with it often when we feel like taking a break from the city, and wish to enjoy some of Israel's great natural beauty.
You can see me here sitting with my stepson Tom and my dog Puffy on a recent overnight trip to Michmoret, one of Israel's most beautiful beaches less than 30 miles (44 kilometers) north of Tel Aviv.
If you are interested in renting our lovely motorhome, you can get more information HERE.
Israel rental of a motorhome or caravan can be a fun and unique way to get to know the country, close up and personal, especially if you don't want to rough it up by camping.
Israel is a small, but beautiful country with extremely diverse natural habitats:
Israel has dozens of campgrounds that allow motorhome and caravan parking. You pay a small daily fee (depending on the season, it can vary from 20 to 50 Shekels).
Most allow you to hook up to electricity and water for a small surcharge per day.
You can rent in Israel a caravan or motorhome that is very comfortable, even luxurious.
The smaller caravans usually have a double bed, a kitchenette with a refrigerator, stove, sink, shower and bathroom. Larger ones have sleeping areas for 3 - 6 other people. The newer ones all have LED TVs and DVDs. Some have microwave ovens.
Israel summers are hot so if you are renting during the summer, check that their is an air conditioner that works well!
Do ask see the caravan or motorhome you rent BEFORE you go book it. If possible, take a trip to see it, or make sure the company you rent from sends you up-to-date photos.
One of the advantages of renting a caravan or motorhome in Israel is that it's a much cheaper way to get to really see the country.
When you rent a caravan, you get the price of a hotel and car rental in one.
Hotels in Israel are notoriously expensive, especially during the peak tourist season between May and October. Even budget accomodations can be cost prohibitive during the summer months. Yes, I have found and can recommend some cheaper places to stay in Tel Aviv. You can look up them up in this link: Budget Accomodations.
But if you want to see some of Israel's nature up close without spending a fortune, Israel rental of a motorhome or caravan can be a great way to go.
It's worth investigating when you visit Israel!
Most visitors get to meet Israelis who are employed at their hotels, restaurants and other businesses catering to tourists. They may or may not leave the best impression.
Israelis are typically very friendly, and most speak English.
Spending a few days on a beautiful campground and caravan parking is a fantastic way to meet, converse with and spend some time with 'real' Israelis, while you are sightseeing in Israel.
As I mentioned earlier, we love traveling on our motorhome, but we also rent it out quite often.
If you are interested, fill in the form below and either Yoram, my husband, or I will get back to you soon!
