On this inspiring one day tour in the north of Israel, you will visit the Christian sites in the Galilee where Jesus Christ spent most of his life on earth.
Our first stop will be the city of Nazareth, known as the cradle of Christianity, where Jesus lived with Mary and Joseph.
We will visit the Church of the Annunciation which is traditionally built on the site of Mary's home. It is here that the Archangel Gabriel told Mary she would become the mother of the Son of God.
The next stop in Nazareth is St. Joseph Church, considered the carpentry workshop of Joseph, father of Jesus.
After leaving Nazareth, we will continue to Kfar Canna village where Jesus performed his first miracle changing water into wine, at a marriage feast in Cana.
From there, we will continue towards the lovely Sea of Galilee, or Hakineret as it is called by Israelis.
We will stop briefly at the beautiful church at the Mount of Beatitudes, the site where Jesus preached the 'Sermon on the Mount'.
We will continue to the Church at Tabgha, where Jesus performed the Miracle of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes.
We'll take a short walk along the Tabgha - Capernaum promenade to "Mensa Christi", the traditional site of the events described in the Gospels: Jesus cooking breakfast for the disciples, the miraculous catching of fish and Peter's reconciliation with Jesus.
We will proceed from Tabgha to Capernaum and its combined Christian and Jewish heritage.
Capernaum is where Jesus began his ministry. It was also the home of St. Peter. Capernaum had a thriving Jewish community in the 2nd - 5th centuries and we will see the ancient synagogue.
On our last stop, we will drive past the seaside city of Tiberias to Yardenit along the Jordan River where John the Baptist baptized Jesus, and where, if you wish, you can be baptized too.
On this tour, we will be exploring the magnificent Christian, Crusader and Roman history along three northern coastal cities of Israel.
First stop is Caesarea, one of the most important Roman cities when Jesus was alive. It was here that Herod Agrippa was smitten by an angel, and Paul the Apostle was tried by the Romans.
Caesarea is home to remarkable Roman, Byzantine and Crusader ruins such as the Herodian Palace and Amphitheater (still active today!), The remains of the ancient port and aqueduct.
The tour continues to Haifa, one of Israel's prettiest cities. We'll visit one of the most beautiful gardens in the world, the Bahai Gardens.
In Haifa, we will enter the Stella Maris (Star of the Sea) Carmelite Monastery. The cave in the church is, according to tradition, the place where the Prophet Elijah hid from the idol worshipers who pursued him.
The last stop on the tour is the old-new city of Acre, called Akko by Israelis.
Acre was the Christian Crusader capital of Israel for 100 years when Jerusalem was under Muslim control.
We will visit the well-preserved Crusader ruins such as the Knights Halls, the Citadel, living areas, prison and the secret Templar escape tunnel!
